While trying to be in tune with spirituality and wellness I find it increasingly important to find time during the week to quiet the mind… and not just when it’s time to go to sleep!
I found this difficult to do in general but now even more so in the hustle and bustle of London!
Below are tips that work for me to clear my mind and just appreciate the silence:
1. Yoga class – this is a great time to focus on your practice and breathing. Don’t let your mind wonder to when your next meeting is!
2. Pick a morning on the weekend – I know this is easier said than done but having a bit of a lie in, knowing you have no plans will help you relax and clear your mind after a busy week.
3. Commute home – once a week on your commute home listen to some relaxing music to try and clear your mind of the days thoughts.
4. Go for a massage or acupuncture – how often have you scheduled a treatment because you need to relax and have then spent the whole time thinking about what to cook for dinner? Take advantage of this special time to dissolve all thoughts.
As mentioned in my stress post, I struggle with meditation but continue to try improve my relationship with it – if you can meditate please do!
