I love making a quick smoothie when I’m short on time, or feel like I didn’t consume enough greens in a day. I have two which I’m currently loving:
Green Detox Smoothie
This is great to boost digestion as well as give you more energy. I would recommend making this as a breakfast smoothie or first thing in the morning.
- 2 cups baby spinach
- 2 cups baby kale
- 2 ribs celery, chopped
- 1 medium green apple, chopped
- 1 cup frozen sliced banana
- 1 cup filtered water
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon tumeric
Blitz it all together and enjoy! If it’s too tart for you, substitute 1 cup of kale for 1 extra green apple. I also like to add matcha, but it’s not to everyone’s taste.
Green Protein Smoothie
This is a a great post work out smoothie or as a meal replacement. I love a protein shake!
- 1 cup almond milk
- 2 cups baby spinach or kale
- 1 frozen banana
- 2 TB almond butter
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
- 2 scoop vanilla protein – I use protein world
- 1 cup ice cubes
Blitz it baby! This blend will keep you fuller than the first smoothie and is higher in calories.
